The position we have currently open is for a Sales Associate.
What does a sales associate do at ReCycles?
Facilitating sales with in store customers. This includes greeting people who walk in, and helping them decide their two wheeled futures! Don’t worry, you’ll be trained on this process before diving in. Talk options with locals to help match them with the right bike to fit their needs. If your brain already houses a full bicycle encyclopedia, that is a huge plus!
Maintaining quality standards for our sales floor. This includes seeing that our bikes are clean, tires are pumped up, chains are lubricated, and our store is organized and professional. This is where attention to detail and organizational skills come in.
They also ensure quality through test rides, expect to test ride a lot of bikes!
And what about getting your hands dirty?
Be prepared to start working on bikes! We will train you on mastering the basics, Cleaning & Lubrication, flat fixes/tire replacements, and custom fitting adjustments.
In addition to helping customers on the sales floor, you will also gain the ability to jump in and assist our head mechanic in the tech department.
Think of it like playing sweeper in soccer, you gain an overall skillset so you can jump in where you are needed.
What are the requirements for this position?
Interest in face to face engagement with customers
Availability on weekends is a must, this is our crunch time. Keep in mind, our shop is closed during the dead of winter in Jan/Feb, and so their will be no available working hours during this time.
Always maintaining a professional and courteous attitude with customers
Prior bike shop experience a plus
