All bikes purchased or rebuilt at ReCycles include free tune-ups for life. Labor for routine maintenance is on us. You’ll also have full access to our service department for replacement parts and additional services, which are priced separately at standard rates
Want To Service A Non-ReCycles Bike?
For bicycles not originally purchased from ReCycles Bikes, we do not offer a traditional service department. Instead, outside bikes are limited to the The Ride Forever Rebuild, a package deal that brings qualifying bikes into our fold with a complete refurb and our lifetime tune up warranty.
Why we do it this way
We are a small shop focused on full bicycle revival, and being the smartest place in Maryland to buy a bike. This approach allows us to provide the best experience for our customers, and ensure safe, reliable outcomes we are proud of.
ReCycles Ride Forever Rebuild
This option allows you to BYOB (Bring your own bike) to enter the ReCycles fold & benefit from our lifetime tune up warranty
If your bike qualifies, it receives the same refurbishment process as our sale bikes and is backed by the same tune-up labor warranty we stand behind on every ReCycles bicycle.
In short, your bike is no longer just being serviced, it’s being revived, rebuilt, and supported long-term, just like a bike purchased directly from our shop.
Purchase once, never pay for a tune up again (Includes adjustments to brakes, shifting, minor wheel truing, and bolt tightness safety checks)
For everything else, you’ll have access to our full service department going forward (Standard rates for replacement parts and A la carte repairs)
Same Refurb process as our sale bikes: Deep Clean + Full Tune + New Tires
Includes replacement minor parts as needed (Cables/Housing,Etc)

We reserve our full service department exclusively for ReCycles-purchased/rebuilt bicycles. This allows us to maintain the high standards and fast, reliable turnaround times for our customers.

My bike had a bunch of rust from the winter elements so I took it straight to Matt. Not only was all the rust gone, but he straightened up the wheel, smoothed the shifting and returned it sparkling! It rides like a dream again, good as new!

I have had the pleasure of having my bikes 🚲services by Matt for years now and I can attest that when you take your bike here you will not only be getting fast courteous and affordable service but you will also be helping the community as Matt is heavily involved with various groups in Frederick Co. Skip the big name, corporate owned shops and franchises. You can buy a pre-loved bike here or have it serviced, you can also buy online and have it assembled here. I would give ReCycles 10x ⭐ if it was possible.

Fantastic local bicycle and service shop in the heart of beautiful downtown Frederick. Matt is passionate about all things cycling, especially extending and giving new life to used and previously loved bicycles. Working on so many brands of frames, components and technologies over the years makes him excellent at servicing practically anything even remotely bicycle related. His knowledge, experience and skill base are incredible resources to our local cycling community. He also provides bicycles at fantastic values for people looking to get into the sport without spending a ton. Matt has also been a vital part of the community, investing his personal time and resources to building one of the best local cycling scenes I’ve ever experienced.
